DESCRIPTION

In the first section, the trail leads you through a pine forest to the lake, ‘Aspermansvijver’, the first natural highlight of this trail. Nearby this lake there is a service provision present (Brasserie Aspermans). The trail also passes a psychiatric Hospital OPZ, where there is a bus stop present ‘Rekem OPZ’.

In the second section, you mainly cross pine forest, with a view of the Heathland of the ‘Ziepbeekvalley’ and the grass fields of ‘Duivelsberg’. At the end of the section you start to cross the ‘Ziepbeekvalley’. From the ‘high chair’, you have a nice viewpoint across the Ziepbeekvalley.

In the third section, you walk completely through the wet heathland of the ‘Ziepbeekvalley’, where forest and heathland alternate. Halfway through the section, you cross the’ Ziepbeek’ on a small and beautiful path.After this path, there is again a beautiful viewpoint into the valley. Via the lake ‘Gaarvijver,’ the trail continues back to the starting point.

At the beginning of the last section you leave the heathlands of the ‘Ziepbeekvallei’ and walk through the forest back to the starting point while passing the lake ‘Droogmeervijver’.
