Joined seminar for trail experts in Methana Greece!

A joined seminar for local trail experts on the Leading Quality Trails-Best of Europe Long Distance Trails and Day Walk certification, took place at the lovely peninsula of Methana, in Peloponnese in Greece, last Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 9, 10, and 11th of February 2025.
The seminar was a request of the Local Association of Active Citizens of Methana (“Hersonisos Methanwn-Energoi Polites) and was supported by the Argosaronic Environment Foundation. The seminar was followed by members, and supporters of the Methana Association, and involved in the trail sector residents of the nearby areas of Poros and Galatas. 

During the seminar, representatives of the Municipality of Methana, the Vice Mayor of the area, and the Mayor had the chance to learn more about the needs and wishes of hikers, and the requirements for the Leading Quality Trails-Best of Europe certification options. 

Participants were trained on the quality assessment of short walks according to the standards of the European Ramblers Association and are ready to start improving Methana’s and nearby areas walking trails, offering residents and visitors quality walking experiences.
