The Commission for European Footpaths in Slovenia (KEUPS), organises on Friday 22 Sept. and on Saturday 23 Sept. 2023 the Meeting of European Travelers 2023.

Description:
22/9 11:00 am – We start the hike in Šentjernej, at the Primož Trubar Cultural Center, Trubarjeva cesta 13. Greetings and presentation of the place by the locals, we pass by Pleterje to Kostanjevica on Krka,
22/9 17:00 pm – greeting from the mayor of Kostanjevica on Krka and the opening of the exhibition on European footpaths, in TIC, Kambičev trg 5.
22/9 19:00 pm – meeting at the Žolnir guest house, Krška cesta 4, Kostanjevica on Krka (point E7), with a lecture on European footpaths and hiking.
(Self-directed overnight stay is possible. Walking at your own risk, 13 km, a little over 3 hours walk. Foresters will take the drivers to the starting point. Food from the backpack or by arrangement).
23/9 08:00 am – The hike starts in Kostanjevica on Krka, at the Žolnir guest house. The route will go through Krakovski forest to Krško, Hotel City, Trg Matije Gubca 3, (point E7) with the greetings of the locals at 12 o’clock. Departure at 1 p.m. from Krško to Zdole. Families and other hikers can also join the hike in Krško, because it’s only a little more than an hour walk to Zdole.
(Walking at your own risk, 16 km, about 5 hours of walking. Foresters will take the drivers to the starting point. Food from the backpack, at the end of the hike there will be goulash).
The Main event:
23/9 15:00 pm – a short cultural program, we will be greeted by representatives of the founders of KEUPS and the mayor of the Krško municipality. Awards to individuals for a successfully completed route will be delivered and discussion about future work will follow.
