DESCRIPTION

Frøslev Plantation has a unique history, and a landscape created by the last Ice Age. Once the ice had withdrawn, the wind created large sand deposits, known in Denmark as “polde”, that can be seen on the walk. Part of the plantation has been cleared of trees and the open heathland created is grazed by livestock. The area is rich in flora, fauna, and insects.
